Millis Middle School Comes in 5th at the MA Middle School TF Championships!

Saturday shaped up to be a great day for the middle school Mohawks who competed in the MA Middle School TF Championships at Fitchburg State University. This is the first year that Millis has sent middle school athletes to the championship meet. Fourteen girls on the team qualified and scored at total of 29.5 points, landing the team in 5th place overall for Division 2 (medium schools). There were several PRs for the day including Ciara Moynihan who came in 1st place overall in the state in the 400M with a time of 61.98 and Julia Krauss not far behind in 8th with a PR of 66.60. Other noteworthy performances include:

Katherine Malewicz who came in 4th in the 200M with a time of 28.69
4x400 relay team placed 2nd overall (Morgan Kane, Kaley Demarzo, Katie Malewicz, Ciara Moynihan) with a PR of 4:34.05

Lydia Flaherty took 7th place in the high jump at 4'6"

Morgan Kane took 7th place in the long jump with a jump of 13'1.5"

Jacquie Mullally took 7th place in the shot put with a throw of 28'9"

The girls who attended the meet did a great job representing Millis. Their hard work has paid off this season! Great job ladies!
