Cross Country Banquet

Dear Runners, Families & Supporters of Millis XC,

I want to take a minute to say THANK YOU for all of your hard work and continued support this season! As the season comes to a close, we have a lot of accomplishments to reflect upon. It was really incredible to see the passion and discipline that these athletes have day in and day out during practice and meets - running in the heat and the cold with a desire to push as far as they can go and succeed. They amaze me more and more every day and I am so happy to be a part of such a great program.

One of the most exciting things that happened was the introduction of our brand new course at Oak Grove! As a team we are overjoyed that we have a place to call home and be proud of. Getting our course approved and ready was not an easy task but John McAvoy from Oak Grove and Steven McInnis from the town of Millis helped immensely. Running our first meet at home against Norton was one of the highlights of our season so another THANK YOU to the Norton team and their families for being flexible with the schedule and celebrating our first home meet with us!
Cross country is a unique season in that there is this great sense of community and camaraderie (within each team and among the league). I am so thankful for my team and it is only fitting that we continue the tradition of our end of season Thanksgiving banquet! Congratulations to all of my athletes for a great season - I can't wait for next year!
