Millis Mohawks vs. Ashland Clockers

Today the Millis girls cross country team had their second regular season meet and pulled out another win! The first home meet at of the season took place this afternoon at Oak Grove Farm against the Ashland Clockers!

The meet was a major success with a great sense of sportsmanship and some goodies at the end! The final score of the girls meet was 42-17, leaving the lady Mohawks 2-0 so far this season! Congratulations to the Ashland boys team on their win! Because the course was redesigned, the winning male and female hold the new course records. Congratulations Jessica O'Reilly & Zach Sweeney!

The course was redesigned this season to eliminate some confusion in the wooded areas and towards the finish line. After mapping out a route with both GPS and a distance measuring wheel, we have finalized our *new* course which is 2.9 miles. The course takes runners around the perimeter of the property and snakes through the woods and trails in two different loops. Runner finish their final loop around the lower and front soccer, finishing near the playground.

The Mohawks are looking forward to their next meet against Medfield at Hospital Hill next Tuesday, September 22!
